Pushpa 2 Makes Box Office History
There was a time when a movie’s entry into the 100 crore club was considered a huge achievement. However, today earning 100 crores has become normal for any movie, as films have started doing business of over 1,000 crores.
A few years ago, in 2016, Aamir Khan’s Dangal was released, which did a worldwide business of around ₹ 2,000 crores, stunning the entire film industry. At that time, it became the highest-grossing film in Indian cinema. Everyone thought that Dangal’s record would be unbeatable, but the very next year, Prabhas’s Baahubali 2 earned approximately ₹ 1,747–1,810.60 crores. Although it didn’t break Dangal’s record, it shocked everyone with its massive collection and became the second-highest-grossing film in Indian cinema.
Now, it seems that Prabhas’s Baahubali 2 will soon be overtaken by Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rule-Part 2, as Pushpa 2 has already achieved a worldwide collection of ₹ 1,719 crores and is still running in cinemas.
